Prairie Shore Properties, a mid-size North Shore and Chicago real estate company, has recently celebrated its annual “Dog Day” event at its dog-friendly North Shore office at 2934 Central St in Evanston.

Sheer exuberance was in the air in at least one real estate office this past week.  The cause for the excitement was the arrival of a dozen or so canine companions belonging to the Realtors of Prairie Shore Properties.  Once a year, all of the company’s real estate agents are invited to bring their dogs to the office for a very special meeting filled with treats, contests and camaraderie.

“Everyone was in high spirits,” said Managing Broker Carol Prieto, “including the dogs who had quite an exciting time getting to know each other and then finally settled down.”

The office is always dog-friendly and many agents often bring their dogs to work with them, but so many at once results in a very active and fun gathering for all.

The whole affair was capped off by the “Performing Dogs Competition.”  A variety of talented dogs showed off their special tricks which wowed everyone present.  Ultimately, the winner was Lucky, owned by Carol Bild, who could roll over, jump, and do the best “Play Dead” some had ever witnessed.

“All in all, a fun day for everyone,” said Prieto.
