Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) inducted its new leadership for 2008-2009 at its 125th Inaugural Gala. The new officers include president David Hanna of Prudential SourceOne Realty, president-elect Genie Birch of Koenig & Strey GMAC and treasurer Mabel Guzman of Century 21 S.G.R. Inc.
Hanna is active with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) board of directors, Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) nominating committee, as well as the Prudential Real Estate Services platform advisory council. He has also been a regular attendee at the Prudential Real Estate Financial Services’ exclusive annual CFO conference.
Birch has been active with CAR professional standards committee, and served as its chair in 2006. Birch also serves on the Chicago International Real Estate Committee (CIREC). She is involved with CAR’s government affairs committee and has also been part of the CAR board of directors since 2006. Birch has served as president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals Chicago Chapter (NAHREP), and serves on NAHREP’s board of directors.
In addition to serving on the board of directors for CAR, Guzman participates on numerous committees. She is also active in state-level committees for IAR. Guzman is currently a board member for NAHREP and she served as president of the Chicago chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) in 2002, and currently serves on their governing board.
