The Enchantment Way, Las Vegas

by Chicago Agent

Las Vegas life feels little like you’re actually living in the Southwest, besides the weather. Although, you can pretend you’re far from the Strip as you gaze up at the Eiffel Tower surrounded by Nevada lights, take a gondola ride through the Grand Canal Shoppes or pass a faux Statue of Liberty surrounded by palm trees. Animal lovers can see live examples of the city’s international roots when visiting the white tigers made famous by Siegfried and Roy, as well as the pink Chilean flamingos and African penguins at The Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Las Vegas. But as you pass by the dancing fountains at the Bellagio or the pirate ship outside Treasure Island, you are reminded that all this could only be in Las Vegas.

The Enchantment Way is a collection of eight luxury homes on five acres in the quickly-developing Southwest valley of Las Vegas. Each home is designed using green building and green living techniques that are cost-effective and environmentally friendly. With views of the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock, Southern Highlands and the entire East Valley, these estate homes each sit on one-half acre.

Sustainable amenities include solar power, which is utilized with photovoltaic cells that strive for zero net energy use. The exterior walls are constructed with straw bale, corrugated metal panels and bio-based foam spray and green fiber spray insulation. The wall structure features a hybrid design of FSC Certified Wood studs, using advanced framing methods which reduce the amount of wood used. Exterior walls will feature low VOC elastomeric paint. Roof systems will utilize composite wood joists, radiant barrier insulation, reflective roof coatings. Plumbing systems include re-circulating solar-thermal water heating for domestic water and pool heating.

HVAC systems which feature split system cooling and heating, which use multiple zones for efficiency and comfort, filtering outside air and pre-cooling air supply to the fan coils. Landscaping will be watered using underground cisterns which will store the rain water captured throughout the year.

Each of the award-winning designed homes will earn the U.S. Green Building Council’s Gold LEED Designation. Large energy efficient-windows and 17-foot ceilings blend indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Enchantment Way will be available as a fractional ownership development and concierge services will be provided for each co-owner from the time the purchase agreement is executed.

The Enchantment Way also includes a Desert Tortoise Habitat, enhancing the lives of this federally-protected species. The development is preserving the desert growth currently found on the property, including cactus and yuccas, for re-planting after the homes are completed.

The Enchantment Way is just 12 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and 14 minutes from the airport.
