Roosevelt University’s Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate received the 2008 Education Award from the Chicago ACE Mentor Program on Feb. 28 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers. The program partners students with real estate professionals throughout the area. The institute was recognized for its commitment to providing educational funding resources to the disadvantaged and for expanding opportunities in the industry for the ethnic, economic and culturally disadvantaged, while providing continuing education, professional leadership and leading edge thinking.
Accepting the award for Roosevelt University were James Gandre, interim provost, and Jon B. DeVries, director of the institute. More than 490 people attended the awards luncheon, including a broad cross-section of the architectural, construction and engineering companies in Chicago and over 100 students and mentors.
