Town and Country Homes has announced the debut of the Stonington Series townhomes at its Providence clubhouse community in northwest suburban Elgin. There are five new floor plans that will be available this summer, each a two-story design with numerous single-family features, such as master suites with walk-in closets and private baths, large kitchens and two-story entry foyers.
As a signature master plan community, Providence features the “Boathouse,” an on-site community center located within walking distance to many of the homes, along with numerous parks, preserved wetlands and more than 110 acres of open green spaces. In addition to the new Stonington Series townhomes, which start below the $200,000s, Providence also features Coventry Series townhomes priced from the low-$220,000s, single-family homes from the low-$300,000s and spacious semi-custom estate homes from the mid-$400,000s.
There are five Stonington Series floor plans to choose from at Providence. Each home is a two- or three-bedroom, two-story design with one-and-one-half to two-and-one-half bathrooms and a two-car, attached garage. The plans are sized from 1,550 to 1,939 square feet, with brick trim, decorative shutters and covered entryways accenting each home. Prices start below the $200,000s.
Every townhome in the Stonington Series includes nine-foot first-floor ceilings and an open floor plan. The homes feature formal living and dining rooms, kitchens with pantries, lofts and first- or second-floor laundry rooms. Some homes also features a master bedroom suite with one or more closets and a fully private or private-access bath. Select plans include volume ceilings, two-story entry foyers and walk-in closets in secondary bedrooms.
All lawn mowing and snow removal is taken care of by the monthly association fee.
Available options for the Stonington Series include master baths with dual-bowl vanity, separate shower and soaking tub, fireplaces, third bedroom configurations, bay windows, hardwood or ceramic tile flooring, deluxe kitchen cabinets and countertops, and black or stainless steel appliances.
The highlight of the neighborhood is the Boathouse community center, which is located in the center of Providence on the shores of a stocked pond and includes a fishing pier along with patio seating. Inside, there is a furnished great room with a stone fireplace, food serving area and children’s play room. The Boathouse features New England architecture with clapboard siding, shed dormers and a cedar shake roof.
