MCL Companies has broken ground at MetroPlace, a new residential development located at 2500 W. Roosevelt Road in the expanding Tri-Taylor neighborhood. A collaboration between MCL Companies and Brownstone Development Companies, phase one of MetroPlace will consist of 56 residences on a 6.2-acre former industrial site. The site will also include an extensively landscaped park for residents’ use.

MetroPlace will feature a mix of single-family homes and condominiums in six-flat buildings. Two- and three-bedroom condominiums will total 1,320 to 1,370 square feet, while three-story, four- or five-bedroom, single-family homes will span 3,050 square feet. Condominium prices begin at $274,900, while single-family homes begin at $624,900.

All MetroPlace homes feature nine-foot ceilings; pre-finished hardwood or select red oak flooring in the entry, living/dining rooms, kitchen and family rooms; pre-wiring for cable television and telephones; two-panel painted interior doors with brushed chrome hardware; gas fireplace with ceramic tile hearth and surround; and a security system.

MetroPlace is located near the Tri-Taylor neighborhood and Taylor Street’s famed restaurants. A Jewel/Osco is nearby, and residents can enjoy a coffee break at the local Starbucks. Concerts and cultural events are plentiful at the nearby UIC campus. Nearby Douglas Park offers bountiful park space for a myriad of recreational opportunities. Medical needs and emergencies can be met at the neighboring Illinois Medical District, which houses UIC Hospital, Rush University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital.

The sales center is located at 2500 W. Roosevelt Road and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
