With its new Certificate of Occupancy from the city of Myrtle Beach on June 1, 2007, condominium owners at the Caribbean Resort & Villas are now closing on their units and starting to move in.
Approval by the city as a Planned Unit Development (PUD) allowed the developers to combine a total of 7.5 beachfront lots to create a resort with two oceanfront condominium towers and a new oceanfront water theme park.
Offering a total of 169 new construction condominiums in two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans in Phase II, the Caribbean was released for pre-sale in June 2005. The new development is located at 30th Avenue North, adjacent to the Sea Captain’s House Restaurant at the gateway to Myrtle Beach’s “Golden Mile.”
The Phase I Suite Tower consists of 195 one-bedroom suites. Each suite condominium received a renovation package in Spring 2007 that included new wall treatments, carpeting, furnishings, bedding, draperies and accessories to coincide with the opening of the new construction tower.
Features of each condominiums at the Caribbean include designer furnishings and accessories; full kitchens with stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, dishwashers, granite countertops, tiled foyers; and private oceanfront or ocean view balconies. New enclosed water amenities and decking are complete at the new tower. A separate free-standing water park on the adjacent oceanfront lot is still under construction but scheduled to open this month.
The Brittain family will manage the on-site rental program for the condominium owners who choose to participate.
