Vol. 4, Iss. 11, New Construction: McKinley Park Village, McKinley Park, Chicago

by Chicago Agent

In bringing new-construction townhomes to Chicago’s Southwest Side, Dubin Residential aims to continue its expansion to the southern and western neighborhoods of the city with a new for-sale community: McKinley Park Village. Groundbreaking is scheduled for this fall, and first deliveries are slated for spring 2008.

Located at the intersection of 36th Street and Western Avenue, McKinley Park Village offers three-story townhomes in 11 floor plan designs that measure 1,567 to 2,061 square feet. Base-priced from the upper $200,000s to the upper $300,000s, townhomes come with two to four bedrooms, two baths and one- or two-car attached garages.

The second floor of each townhome includes an open layout with a combination living and dining room that opens to the kitchen. All 11 plans feature a deck off the kitchen. Third floors of each home offer two to three bedrooms, a full bath, optional master bath, balconies, washer and dryer hook-ups, and walk-in closets (per plan). Select plans will feature a tech center that can be customized with a built-in desk and library-style cabinetry.

Townhomes also include a host of finishes such as Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, designer maple cabinetry and granite countertops. Baths have ceramic tile flooring, while hardwood flooring will be featured in the kitchen, living and dining rooms.

Outside their homes, residents of McKinley Park Village can enjoy the conveniences of urban living through proximity to recreation, transportation and shopping. The community is near the 35th and Archer stop on the CTA’s Orange Line, as well as Interstate 55.

“Residents will be able to jump on the ‘El’ and reach the Loop in about 10 minutes. They can also be at Midway Airport in about 10 minutes,” says Michael Kelahan, director of sales and marketing for Dubin Residential. “This neighborhood is closer to the city than many people probably realize.”

McKinley Park Village is located just a five-minute walk from the public park that is the neighborhood’s namesake. McKinley Park offers numerous recreational options, such as a fieldhouse, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, a jogging path and a lagoon. With more than 69 acres of public space, it also offers large areas for picnics and gatherings.

In addition to townhomes, Dubin Residential will also start sales for 110 condominiums at the community in the near future.
