What was your first job in the realty industry?
Assistant to a project manager for a large residential construction company
Who inspires you?
Michael Jordan
What is your favorite free-time activity?
Spending time with my wife, Trisha, and our son, Will.
How did you learn the business?
I learned from my family. My grandfather bought and sold real estate when he came to this country. His children ran a successful residential construction company and worked on very well known suburban developments. My mother has been a real estate agent for 20 years. As a result, I learned about CMAs before I learned about SATs!
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
Glengarry Glen Ross
What is your favorite restaurant?
Rosebud
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
One of my favorites is the NBC Tower at 455 N. Cityfront Plaza. Built in the art deco fashion, most people need to look closer to realize this is not an early-20th century structure. It’s a nod to Chicago’s classic style.
What kind of car do you drive?
An Audi A4
BlackBerry, Palm or paper?
An old school cell phone with unlimited minutes
What is your favorite city after Chicago?
New York
What is your personal motto?
“It is what it is.” Sometimes people dwell on issues too long and end up missing out on other opportunities.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industy?
Be unique, but do not try to reinvent the wheel.
