Chelsey Crossing, an enclave of 52 maintenance-free luxury townhomes set on a pristine, 15-acre wooded site in Gurnee just north of Route 120 and Hunt Club Road, has recently opened an on-site information center.

Only six residences remain for sale in the community’s first phase, and buyers need to act quickly to take advantage of pre-construction pricing, says Keith Jacobs, president of Jacobs Homes.

“The exteriors of the townhomes were designed to complement the natural beauty of the site,” says Jacobs. “Architecturally interesting elements such as pitched roof lines with distinct gables and octagonal bays have been included to make the homes harmonize with the site’s grandeur.”

Chelsey Crossing’s Gurnee location offers a wide range of conveniences, shopping and recreation. Residents are just minutes from Gurnee Mills, a premier, upscale outlet mall surrounded by dozens of restaurants. The community is served by the area’s exceptional District 50, including Woodland Elementary, Woodland Intermediate, Woodland Middle School and Warren Township High School.

The area’s attractions, entertainment and recreation are balanced by Gurnee’s “hometown” feel that makes it an ideal place to live, Jacobs says.

“Gurnee and the surrounding towns have a history as serving as a summer playground to Chicago’s elite in the early-1900s. Just a few miles to the east is Lake Michigan, and Gurnee is just west of the Chain O’Lakes and Fox River.

The area’s history and past still retain some of that ‘vacation retreat’ charm,” Jacobs continues. “It’s one of the elements that attracts buyers to Gurnee.”
