Steve Volkodav joined the North Shore – Barrington Association of Realtors (NSBAR) in 2000 as its director of information systems. Now, more than a decade later, he is the group’s CEO.
According to a press release, the NSBAR board of directors recently appointed Volkodav to the position – a deserving promotion according to NSBAR President Jim Votanek .
”Steve is a collaborative leader and idea generator who transforms ideas into action by infusing them with vision and aligning them with company goals,” Votanek said. “Our more than 3,300 members, their businesses and clients and local consumers will truly be well served.”
Volkodav, as director of information systems, oversaw NSBAR’s conversion of more than 10,000 paper documents to a digital records system – one of the first of its kind in real estate. According to the press release, the first Realtor association mobile app in Illinois came courtesy of Volkodav and NSBAR.
In his previous role, Volkodav meshed his knowledge of technology with his financial savvy and rebuilt NSBAR’s telecommunications system to be more cost effective. In his first two years with NSBAR, Volkodav lowered network and operational fees, ultimately saving the group $80,000.
