With his exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and creative marketing approach (qualities he refined in his seven years as a successful commercial photographer), he was one of the top 20 agents in Cook County in 2011. Michael was also a Platinum Level Award recipient from the Chicago Association of Realtors with more than $31 million in residential sales and a recipient of the Diamond Elite Premier Service Award for having one of the highest levels of satisfied clients in Koenig & Strey Real Living. He credits his mentor, the late Doug Ayers, for inspiring him and contributing to his success.

“Although Doug was the CEO of a major real estate company, he always had time to talk, give advice or even take in a sporting event,” Michael says. “He put 110 percent of himself in everything he did and was always honest with everyone, and I make sure that I do the same every day in my business with my clients and colleagues.”

That personal connection, Michael adds, is his favorite part about being a real estate broker, whether working with developers, investors or buyers and sellers.

“Most people think we are just selling properties, but we are actually helping people create new memories,” he says. “I take great pride in knowing that I helped someone find a place to call home, or helped someone sell their property to move on to another chapter in their life.”

When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Lori, and his two daughters, Isabelle, seven years old, and Addison, who is four years old, in addition to riding his Harley, photography, traveling and golfing.
