TJ Flodin, Branch Manager / Vice President of Residential Lending

Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

Over the course of his 23-year career in mortgage lending, TJ Flodin has distinguished himself as a valuable partner for borrowers, real estate professionals and mortgage industry peers alike. Flodin is a top-producing loan officer and the branch manager of Draper and Kramer Mortgage’s downtown Chicago location. With his impressive annual loan volume, he has earned a place in the company’s President’s Club every year since 2002, and Mortgage Executive Magazine recognizes him among the top 1% of mortgage originators in the nation.

“I have been described by my customers as having a direct, matter-of-fact, get-it-done approach,” Flodin says. “I strive to make the mortgage experience as fast and easy as possible for the borrower.” His clients laud him for providing knowledgeable, thorough and timely service. “We’re a very competitive lender, but the way we really stand out is by how we take care of our customers,” he says.

It isn’t just clients who appreciate Flodin’s approach. “I also manage a team of loan officers, and I am focused on supporting them and helping them achieve higher production levels year after year,” he says. While Flodin takes pride in seeing his team reach new heights with their production, he insists that balancing work and personal life is key, remarking, “Loan officers must have a good team so they can do as much business as possible, get loans closed and still have time for what’s most important in life.”

For Flodin, what’s most important is his family. “My family is my inspiration and my motivation,” he says, referring to his two children and his wife, whom he describes as “a brilliant and beautiful career woman and the best mom.”

While the mortgage world is always changing, Flodin is committed to providing the same exceptional service to his clients and partners while continuing to foster an environment where motivated loan originators can thrive.
