Sherri J. Dunne, Broker, JD, ABR, CSC

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

Performing her job with the utmost integrity, Sherri Dunne exemplifies the best qualities a broker can have. Specializing in the northwest and western suburbs, Dunne, herself a native of the western suburbs, works with buyers, sellers, renters and investors. Having owned and lived in properties in seven different west and northwest suburbs and Chicago, Dunne is intimately familiar with the local markets. “Even if I’m working with a client in an area that I don’t know as well, I do whatever I can to educate myself about that community,” says Dunne, an Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Staging Consultant and leader of a team of four with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate.

Taking a hands-on approach, Dunne works with her clients directly. “I am here for them every step of the way,” she says. “Above and beyond is my norm.”

Prior to entering the real estate industry seven years ago, Dunne attended law school and passed the bar before becoming the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Western New England University School of Law. After moving back to Chicago, she spent a decade as the Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Fund Programming at her alma mater, The John Marshall Law School. However, “at a certain point, I knew it was time for something else,” says Dunne. “I was inspired by the agent from my last home purchase. She was incredible and I could see myself doing what she did. I also felt like my legal education and negotiation training would make me an asset in the field.”

In addition to working with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Dunne and her preferred lender host a First Time Buyers Seminar. “I get so much satisfaction from working with first time buyers and love educating them and helping them feel comfortable with the process,” she says.

Dunne is active with the Palatine Chamber of Commerce and the Women in Business Advisory Forum. She is the proud mom of her 18 year old son and 16 year old daughter.
