A mindset of gratitude, focus on providing white-glove service and desire to always support each other personally and professionally have kept the award-winning sales team of Weinberg Choi Residential (WCR), with Keller Williams ONEChicago, on the path of growth since its inception 15 years ago.

Recipients of Keller Williams’ 2021 Platinum Sales Award based on volume and units sold, the team of brokers includes co-founders Josh Weinberg and Tommy Choi, along with Tony Magnone, listing specialist; Krista Harkin, lead buyer’s specialist; Willem Nong-Lambert, buyer’s specialist; Lexie Schacht, buyer’s specialist; Jessica Kelly, buyer’s specialist; and Katya Lorman, leasing specialist.

Founded in 2007 by brokers Josh Weinberg and Tommy Choi, WCR assists buyers, sellers and lessees, from first-time to luxury, in the city and surrounding suburbs. From the start, teammates educate clients on what to expect from the team and the process each step of the way and familiarize them with market conditions and negotiation strategies.

“It’s not ‘deals’ for us,” Harkin says. “The trust that we are able to provide and build with our clients leaves them feeling comfortable and confident with the big decisions we help guide them through.”

Every member of the sales team has gone through an intense training program that involves exploring the city’s neighborhoods and surrounding suburbs, to ensure they understand what makes each area the perfect place to call home.

To start each day on a positive and inspiring note, the team meets at 8:30 a.m. for a “gratitude huddle,” taking turns sharing what each of them is grateful for. During the pandemic, this ritual took place virtually. Even though the coronavirus required them to make a lot of small adjustments to stay ahead of the changing world, they kept with past routines and systems they knew would lead to successful results.

Giving back is engrained in the company culture. In line with its 365 Days of Giving campaign, teammates volunteer for a day at a local charity each month.
