Mary Gill, Vice President of Residential Lending

Key Mortgage Services

Having a previous career as a speech-language pathologist, Mary Gill’s background working with children and adults with communication disorders has instilled core values that Gill still employs today. She fully grasps the importance of education, effective communication and patience, which are crucial components to homebuying. Gill’s ability to foster confidence throughout the process has underscored her success in residential mortgage lending.

With expertise in multiple loan types, including jumbo, conventional and VA and FHA financing, in addition to down-payment assistance programs, Gill sets herself apart with an educational and goal-oriented business posture. “I spend a lot of time getting to know my clients and being available for any questions or concerns, day or night, and respond in a timely manner,” she says. Gill goes on to note, “My business style is to take a consultative approach to each client and listen to their questions and concerns in order to build trust and rapport.” Her prior work history has served as a foundation for her informative style and even-tempered approach. Mortgage lending can sometimes be tricky; with a strong focus on preapproval, she skillfully navigates obstacles to maintain a laser focus on long-term results tailored to each client’s needs.

Gill has received many career accolades, having earned her way into Key Mortgage Services’ Founder’s Club more quickly than anyone in company history. In 2021, she made the 40 Under 40 list with National Mortgage Professional and also earned the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association’s Best Rookie Loan Officer award. This year, she was named among the Scotsman Guide’s top originators and top women originators. With clientele who understand the depths to which Gill will go to advocate for them, she runs a largely referral-based business and strives to continue collaborating with clients to add ease and understanding to their lending journeys.
