Layne Zagorin and Cheryl Cohn are extremely knowledgeable of Chicago’s Near North Side neighborhoods. With a combined nearly 60 years of residency in Lincoln Park, Ravenswood, the Gold Coast and Lakeview, and 22 years of experience in real estate, these two Realtors specialize in residential housing. Their clients range from first-time buyers to high-end new-construction luxury housing.
Originally from Minneapolis, Zagorin earned her Bachelor of Science in genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her MBA in marketing and management from National Louis University in Chicago. Much of her career was spent in the nonprofit and health care fields. While searching with her husband for their own home, Zagorin fell in love with real estate as a career because of her ability to help people find their ideal places to call home.
Cohn, a St. Louis native, obtained her college degree in journalism and public relations from Drake University. She moved to Chicago after college and honed her sales skills in a variety of industries, including advertising, food service and retail. While working in advertising at Luxe Interiors + Design, she gained an affinity for the real estate industry, which combines her love of beautiful homes and supporting people and allows her to market their listings to stand out from the rest.
In May 2021, Cohn and Zagorin launched CZ Homes, their own team within @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Chicago’s No. 1 brokerage firm. They launched into the Top Agent Network this past year and currently partner with and represent Lincoln Park developers for new-construction projects. Utilizing their robust pipeline of referrals, Zagorin and Cohn closed $21 million in business in 2021.
