Jolene White, Real Estate Broker

RE/MAX Suburban

Growing up in a family-owned construction business where her parents built custom homes, Jolene White did not see herself as a contractor. Rather, she was driven to work alongside people to help them achieve their goals. After receiving a business degree from Northern Illinois University, she worked in project management and finance before transitioning into real estate in 2011. “Launching a business during the Great Recession received much criticism, but challenging times provide important lessons in life,” she says. “By applying pragmatic solutions, I helped clients avoid bad outcomes while watching my business thrive.”

A broker with RE/MAX Suburban, White covers a market that includes McHenry, Kane, Lake and Cook counties. With her sense of humor and joyful enthusiasm, she enjoys keeping business light during a process that can be stressful and overwhelming. “My role is to be a knowledgeable advisor helping individuals and families achieve both emotional security and financial benefits of homeownership while being a neighbor who cares,” she explains.

When meeting with sellers, White offers a consultation to prepare a comparative market analysis. “Listing a property is strategic,” she says. “Price, time frame and condition must line up properly to sell a home quickly, for the best price and fewest headaches.” Before scheduling appointments with buyers, she creates a comprehensive plan to write a competitive offer in a sellers’ market.

White’s altruistic nature has shown throughout the years as she has been a part of Rotary, Leadership Greater McHenry County and United Way. Most recently, she has collected Halloween candy for deployed service members and veterans for Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops program. In 2021, candy amounts grew to more than 500 pounds, with collection sites scattered throughout McHenry County. She plans to continue contributing to this program in 2022 with hopes of doubling the amount collected. “I’m focused on building community by making connections and getting involved through volunteering,” she says. “I’m excited to add value to improve the quality of life in which we work and live.”
