Founded in 2016, The Dawn McKenna Group has evolved into a multi-state empire of knowledgeable and resourceful agents, led by Dawn McKenna herself.

The DMG Suburban Team consists of five agents hand-chosen by McKenna for their local expertise, style and abilities: Lauren Walz, Annie Lenzke, Katie Moor, Bari Kesner, and Peggy Sayre. Each agent specializes in different suburban areas, with McKenna covering Hinsdale, Walz covering Western Springs, Lenzke covering Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, Moor covering Winnetka, and Sayre covering New Buffalo, Michigan.

Walz is a real estate junkie. “I’ve always had a passion for real estate,” she says. “Long before I had my license, I would help friends and family redesign their homes or analyze whether a home they were about to buy was going to be a good investment.” First obtaining her license to “dabble in real estate,” Walz quickly dabbled her way into a flourishing career. Says Walz, “I am grateful for my clients and my DMG family every single day.”

For Lenzke, the real estate business was just a part of growing up. With parents who were builders, including a mother who sold residential real estate, she always felt the pull of being a North Shore agent. So, after working in advertising for six years, she made the switch. First working with her mother, Lenzke joined the DMG in 2019 and hasn’t looked back. Says Lenzke, “Joining DMG propelled my career and gave me the tools and network to elevate the service I could give my clients.”

Starting in the Hinsdale office managing transactions while also selling, Sayre had a courtside seat for the explosion of the DMG. “Working directly under Dawn for over five years has taught me to be diligent, hardworking and bring 110% to the table every day,” says Sayre. Even when she worked as an event planner for the Kennedy family at the Merchandise Mart before getting into real estate, Sayre had never been challenged like she was at DMG. “Learning under fire is the best, and now I can bring all that I learned to my clients,” she says.

Selling the Chicago suburbs comes naturally to the DMG Suburban Team. North Shore DMG team member Katie Moor is no exception. Despite the current chaos of the market, Moor has used her business background and local knowledge to successfully navigate seamless deals for her clients while also making the process fun. “I love being a local expert, and I’m a passionate advocate for my community,” Moor says. “Selling my market comes naturally, because I truly love what I do!”
