Justin Lucas, Broker

@properties

From designing custom road maps for buyers to creating tailored marketing plans and pricing strategies for sellers, Justin Lucas personalizes everything he does for each client.

“It’s not about the transaction,” insists Lucas, a broker with @properties who serves buyers and sellers in the city and suburbs, as well as relocation clients. “It’s about the relationship and the person involved.”

Whether it’s inspiring sellers to renovate their homes to maximize their investment or helping buyers see a property’s full potential, he is 100% committed to their success. “I focus on understanding the ‘why’ behind their motivation for buying and/or selling,” Lucas says. “While I lead a team, I’m the main point of contact for our clients.”

Recently, a seller gave him complete creative authority to renovate their home in preparation for the market, after another agent failed to sell it over a year ago. “I’ve been through a few renovations, so I understand the potential of a property and love helping clients envision their own renovations/updates,” he remarks. “I hired the contractors, personally selected the tile for the kitchen backsplash, lighting, mirrors, paint colors and every minor detail.” In less than 48 hours of hitting the market, it was under contract.

A member of the Freedom Boat Club, Lucas enjoys taking clients out on Lake Michigan to view properties from a different perspective. He is active in the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce — assisting with marketing and commercial real estate consulting to help attract new businesses; among his alma mater East Carolina University’s “40 under Forty Leadership Award” recipients; a Chicago Association of Realtors “Top Producer”; and an @properties “Road to Rolex” award winner.

Lucas says that leaving the corporate world to pursue his passion for real estate following the tragic death of his older brother was the best decision he ever made. In less than five years, he has built a thriving business based solely on referrals.
