Jonathon Volpe, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Neighborhood Loans

Jonathon Volpe has been in real estate for a decade, having entered the business thanks to a background in finance. His prior experience in sales helped him build a rapport with clients. “I always put their interests first,” says Volpe, vice president of mortgage lending at Neighborhood Loans. “I find it very fulfilling to help others achieve the goal of homeownership.”

Volpe believes in educating his clients at the time of preapproval so they are well prepared for the process of purchasing their home. “I have an upfront and candid conversation with them to discuss the full mortgage process, along with each milestone that we will achieve together,” he shares. “It is important to make myself available to answer any questions they may have.”

Volpe’s business is 100% referral-based. “My referrals are primarily from fellow Realtors and past clients,” he explains. “I have put processes in place to make homebuying enjoyable. This has resulted in exceptional consumer reviews.” But he’s quick to credit his team for what they’ve done to help him achieve his successes. Over the years, he has been able to increase his group’s size to deliver even better service to clients and real estate partners. With these resources, he has been able to increase his business by 35% and allow the volume of loans to continuously increase as they grow.

Volpe’s credentials include membership in the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and his local chamber of commerce. NAHREP named Volpe one of the nation’s top loan originators in 2018, 2019 and 2020 by units closed, and Neighborhood Loans has named him to its President’s Club for the past four years.

During his downtime, Volpe enjoys attending open houses with colleagues and continues to educate himself on the industry and technology. Above all, he loves spending time with his wife and three children. “They are the motivation behind my hard work,” he says.
