Husband and wife Darrell and Jill Scott, team leaders of the Scott Group with Compass, know that the best real estate experience is one that marries client satisfaction and industry expertise. Having a combined 18 years in the real estate business, the Scotts have made a name for themselves helping clients buy and sell homes in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, where they live, as well as its surrounding locales and all major downtown areas.
In their careers, the Scotts’ motto is work hard, play hard. And playing hard applies to their clients too: They recently sold the home of the 2016 World Series Cubs most valuable player, Ben Zobrist. “Within hours of listing the property, we were getting calls from the Chicago Tribune!” they recall with pride.
The couple employs a strategy that makes selling or buying fun and easy for their clients, but the Scotts are also aggressive when it comes to the sale. They keep their clients informed throughout the process, helping them build equity and invest in the future. They are comfortable working as either buyer or listing agents and specialize in luxury rentals and relocation. The Scotts work with many clients, including first-time and luxury buyers, renters, investors. “Every home is different, and every client is different. There’s a perfect home for everyone!” says Jill Scott.
In 2020, the Scotts landed a spot among the top 100 real estate brokers in Chicago based on sales volume, which was a huge accomplishment for their small team. Darrell Scott was also listed in Crain’s Chicago as one of the Most Notable Real Estate Brokers in 2021. The Scott team won several Chicago Association of Realtors awards in 2020, including the Bronze Level for Residential Sales Volume between $25 million and $36.9 million and Top Producer for Residential Sales between 30 and 62 units.
