With a background in technology, sales, marketing and psychology, all before he discovered his love for real estate, Danny Glick took a circuitous journey to get where he is today. Yet with each position held, he learned the value of — and mastered — a vital competency key to success in any field: active listening.

Glick is a broker for @properties serving Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Bucktown, Wicker Park, North Center and Lincoln Square. For the last 16 years, he has led a team of dynamic agents supporting buyers, sellers and developers who demand honest and objective advice. Glick originally began a successful career with IBM in technology sales before deciding to pursue psychology. From there, he worked as a suicide hotline crisis counselor, case manager, clinician and substitute teacher. But it was a serendipitous call from his own real estate agent that ultimately led him to his calling.

Glick’s team employs a process-driven approach: From the beginning of every transaction, they gain a firm understanding of their client’s wants and needs. His prior work experience strengthened his ability to listen closely and provide empathy. “When you’re able to not only hear the words that someone is saying but understand the meaning behind the words, it really illuminates what’s driving someone’s decision,” Glick says. His team also highlights issues that may arise throughout the process and assures clients that he is equipped to handle them.

Glick’s continued success has led him to receive several accolades throughout his career. He has been ranked in the top 1% of all Realtors in Illinois for well over a decade by the Chicago Association of Realtors, has been featured on HGTV’s “House Hunters,” was named among the 100 most influential Realtors in Illinois by Real Estate Executive Magazine, and has contributed to local TV and print outlets. Glick is considered an expert not only by his clients but among his peers, too. He and his team attack each day with one purpose in mind, “to make sure our clients have the perfect transaction,” affording them the most important feeling of all: peace of mind.
