Ben Bodelson, Real Estate Broker, Compass

Founder and Principal, Guide Group

This year has been one of change, learning and growth for Chicago real estate broker Ben Bodelson. In January, he moved his real estate practice to Compass, built a five-agent team under the name Guide Group, and embraced new technology and systems to grow his business. “After 10 years in real estate, I wanted to challenge myself. It’s also thrilling to work with a group of agents and help them build their careers.”

Clients are always the focus of Bodelson’s work, and his unique skill set helps clients build wealth, manage their real estate assets, find homes to enjoy living in and source investment opportunities. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a seasoned seller or someone looking to build a smart real estate portfolio, Bodelson is there to guide them through the entire process. Bodelson enjoys suggesting ideas and opportunities to his clients while offering everything from his background in design and rehabbing. “I’ve done a lot of design and renovation for clients and love it when they are super happy with the place to live in, as well as making them a good return on investment for when they sell.”

Bodelson is the founder and principal of Guide Group, working with his team to refine their skills, build their client base and offer excellent value. Guide Group has worked in many suburbs, as well as most of Chicago’s neighborhoods. “My team is a diverse group of people, and it’s reflected in the various types of properties we sell and the locations we serve.”

Bodelson has been recognized as a top producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors and various publications. “When I began my real estate career in 2009, I had no idea what would happen, but I am passionate about all things real estate related, from being a wealth building tool, to designing and revitalizing a space, to working with my excellent clients in negotiating and securing a great place for them to live their lives. It’s a perfect fit for me.”
