RE/MAX Legends broker Amal Khalil has worked in the real estate industry for a decade, seven years as a real estate paralegal before switching gears into brokering. She serves a broad client base, including first-time buyers, luxury buyers and sellers and investors, particularly throughout the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
“I made the move to becoming a broker as I yearned for that one-on-one interaction with clients and the more intimate customer service side of the real estate industry,” she explains.
Khalil calls the profession “her calling.” That passion for the job makes working with her exciting and energizing, rather than stressful and exhausting for clients, who describe her approach as a combination of fun and business-oriented.
“I am a professional, but I also want my clients to enjoy their experiences with me,” she says.
Her experience working as a paralegal in top real estate investment and law firms helped jumpstart her career as a broker, giving her a strong knowledge of the legal side of the real estate industry that would take most new brokers much longer to master.
“It has given me the confidence and understanding to excel in my career and provide my clients with many facets of real estate knowledge,” shares Khalil.
That knowledge she shares with her clients puts them at ease every step of the way. She also knows that buying and selling homes doesn’t only affect the person whose name is on the deed. As a mom herself, Khalil wants to make sure the whole family feels comfortable – kids too!
She has carved out a name for herself in the business with her attention to detail, strong work ethic, honesty, listening skills and client advocacy. Khalil was recognized by the industry in 2020 with the RE/MAX Executive Club Award and the Chicago Association of Realtors Rising Star Award.
