Tim Perry, Senior Loan Officer

Union Home Mortgage

After purchasing an investment property, Tim Perry quickly became fascinated by the fast-paced, ever-changing interest rate market and the challenge of crafting mortgages for each unique deal. Even though he’d been among Pitney Bowes’ top sales representatives for several years, he felt the lending industry would be a better path for him than a career selling office products. “The mortgage business offered more opportunity and challenges,” he says. “I entered this business and decided that this was where I wanted to spend my professional life.”

Now a senior loan officer with Union Home Mortgage, Perry cultivates his artistic side, too. He paints almost every subject under the sun and sells his work at an annual art show every October. “I have been known to paint pictures of homes for closed clients, portraits of people, landscapes, pets, trucks, cars, and even an abstract piece now and then,” he says. “Art is a wonderful way for me to relax and to connect with people.”

Perry lends his creativity to borrowers, finding unique and inventive solutions to complex situations. Always helpful, knowledgeable and fun to work with, he obtains most of his clients through word-of-mouth advertising. It also helps that he is a lifelong resident of Park Ridge, which makes him an expert on all the area has to offer clients.

Proud of his wonderful wife, three fantastic sons and the fact that he is an Eagle Scout, Perry gives back every chance he gets. As a way to celebrate his wife’s successful battle against breast cancer, he started a fundraiser two years ago called Perrypalooza. “Each February, we assemble three or four bands — I sing in one of them — and have a fantastic night of fundraising and celebrating,” says Perry. “Last year, we raised a lot of money for triple-negative breast cancer and had a great time doing it.”
