Kimberly Broznowski Powers, Real Estate Broker, CNE, MRP

Kpowershomes at @properties

Watching her mom, longtime Chicago Realtor Linda Broznowski, negotiate deals over a landline, Kimberly Broznowski Powers found real estate interesting. In high school, she worked as a receptionist at her mom’s office in Chicago, taking messages for agents before voicemail existed. After she graduated from Indiana University, her job in marketing and event planning lasted for five years. At her mom’s suggestion, Powers got her real estate license. It was perfect timing: She had a built-in client base of young adult friends looking for rentals and homes.

Now a Realtor with @properties, Powers has been in the industry for almost two decades and has a lot of experience working with buyers and sellers in the city and suburbs. She loves educating first-time buyers, with whom she creates a “wish list.” She also enjoys working with her mom, occasionally pairing up on listings.

Powers prides herself on the exceptional service she gives to all her clients, whether it’s a rental or luxury sale. “There is nothing like the smile on a client’s face when they know they found ‘the one,’” she says. Powers joined @properties in 2005 and received the company’s Most Experienced Newcomer award. In 2017, she earned her Military Relocation Professional certification from the National Association of Realtors, and in 2019, she was honored as a top producer by @properties, which is currently No. 1 in Chicago and Arlington Heights.

A go-getter, Powers has been known to stage houses with her own belongings. She has a reliable network to turn to as well. “I’ve been working with the same attorney, lender, inspector and handyman for years,” she says. Feeling fortunate to do a lot of work with past clients, Powers also advertises at the local hockey rinks where her two sons play. She lives in her native town of Arlington Heights with her husband and three children but maintains a good balance of clients in both the city and suburbs.
