John Lyons strives to provide the real estate experience he himself would want to receive. He does this by taking the time to educate his clients so they feel confident in their decisions. “When my clients hire me, they know they are getting a highly skilled Realtor who is going to work very hard for them,” says Lyons, chief executive officer of John Lyons Real Estate and broker associate at Baird & Warner.
Lyons serves buyers, sellers and investors in a variety of neighborhoods by having a finger on the pulse of the city’s residential market. He brings seven years of real estate experience to the table. In the last two years, 55% of Lyons’ clients came from referrals, which is a reflection of his reputation of trust. In 2019, he brought on an agent and an assistant to continue to improve his quality of service.
Beginning each transaction with an in-person meeting, Lyons builds trust with his clients by listening to their needs and crafting a plan tailored to their goals. He is also known for staying in touch long after the sale is completed, through service and simple acts of kindness, such as delivering pies
Tying his success to his adaptability, Lyons reflects on every transaction, identifying lessons to improve the experience for future clients. “Every transaction is different with different problems to solve, but there are patterns, too,” Lyons says. “I try to leverage those past experiences to help the people I serve.”
For the second year in a row, Lyons plans to run the Chicago Marathon for Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Team Rizzo. “My daughter was admitted to Lurie just after she was born,” he explains. “Lurie Children’s provided incredible care for her, and for that I’m very grateful. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the importance of children’s hospitals and the people who work in them.“
