Brian Moon, Real Estate Broker

Keller Williams

Many people talk about learning real estate from the ground up, but Brian Moon has done it. He set a goal for himself to move every two years in order to become an expert on the city, and in doing so, he has lived in and learned about five different neighborhoods.

Since joining Keller Williams in 2018, Moon continues to focus on growing his team. He works with multifamily properties, luxury single-family homes and condominiums in areas from the South Loop to Edgewater and Lake Michigan to Logan Square.

Moon’s pursuit of wide-ranging knowledge is reflected in his previous experience, which includes jobs with the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Board Options Exchange. “Those jobs taught me many things about how to be a quick thinker, assertive and resilient,” he says. Moon also had one more unusual position. “I moonlighted as the mascot for the Chicago Fire soccer team,” he says. “That job made me love public relations and marketing.”

Moon’s godfather, who worked in real estate, encouraged him to enter the field. Moon is a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago and the Chicago Association of Realtors, which has named him a top producer. Crain’s Chicago Business selected him as one of the most influential residential real estate brokers in the city.

Moon leads a team of three agents and an executive assistant. He says the group offers leverage and multiple viewpoints for clients during the process of buying or selling a home. Clients value Moon’s analytical and negotiating skills, along with his ability to make homebuying enjoyable for families, first-time buyers and returning clients. “Ten percent of agents are really good,” he says. “What makes me different from them? My life experiences, my deep desire to serve people and my commitment to integrity over everything else.”

When Moon isn’t working for clients, he supports Park Community Church and By The Hand, a nonprofit that helps fatherless kids.
