Anthony Maione, Broker

Anthony Maione Residential, @properties

Coming from a fast-paced, cutthroat career in the freight and transportation business gave Anthony Maione the patience for a career in real estate.

Maione started out in the business at Baird & Warner in Highland Park, under the mentorship of Margie Brooks, a top North Shore agent who has been in business for more than 30 years. “What drove me to real estate was the ability to start my own business and help people through one of the largest transactions of their lives both financially and emotionally,” he says.

Now with @properties, Maione assists first-time buyers, luxury sellers and renters in Chicago and on the North Shore. He excels at noticing all the little details a buyer might not pay attention to before deciding to purchase a property, such as the overall layout, storage space or the condition of the floors. “I want to make sure they get the very best deal,” he says. “At the same time, I want to make sure they enjoy the process and hopefully one day come back as a repeat client.”

Another way Maione sets himself apart from other agents is through communication. “I always answer my phone. Whether it’s text, e-mail or a call, I always respond promptly,” he says. “I pride myself on getting back to my clients quickly.”

Maione is also very happy with his work selling his parents’ Highland Park home, despite the brutal North Shore market where many sellers have been forced to slash prices and take substantial losses. “Thankfully, I found an amazing family who I know will appreciate and take care of the home,” he says.

Personally, he is most proud of breaking away from being a team member and starting his own business, Anthony Maione Residential, earlier this year. “None of what I do would be possible without the tremendous support of my best friend: my wife, Carli,” he says. “She has, from day one, supported me beyond belief.”
