Real estate has always been interesting, exciting and appealing to Susan Nice. She’s intrigued by the many different types of properties and ways to invest, but even more thrilling to her is seeing how people create new spaces from older buildings while maintaining the integrity and time period of the structure.
Before taking her “dream job” as a residential specialist with Dream Town Realty, Nice worked for an innovative technology company, implementing new software to help clients improve their business flow and increase their bottom lines.
Nice says the most meaningful parts of her job are helping clients achieve their goals and being a calm force in a transaction. “I enjoy working with an array of clientele, from first-time buyers to repeat clients and investors,” she says. “I’m passionate about using my finance background to help clients make educated and informed purchases, especially investors. Every sale is unique and important to me.”
All of that excitement from helping investors reach their financial goals has rubbed off on her. “I started down the path to creating my own real estate investment portfolio this past year,” she says. Other goals have nothing to do with the financials, however. All her life, Nice has dreamt of visiting Africa on a private safari, and this past year, she did it. “The beauty I saw and the ability to experience something new help with setting future goals and working toward them,” she says.
Always finding new ways to market properties, Nice stays up to date on listing trends. She uses numerous social avenues, internal marketing platforms and the Top Agent Network, which helps her connect with motivated buyers and sellers. In addition, she employs old-school methods, hitting the phones and using in-person networking techniques.
A member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, Nice has earned several awards from the association, including being named a 2018 Top Producer in sales volume and units, and a 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016 Top Residential Producer in sales volume and units.
Indulging her passion for serving others, Nice helps educate students through Tutoring Chicago and volunteers with Coat Angels, an organization that provides winter coats to underserved children.
