Steve Genyk, Senior Broker

Genyk Group Real Estate

Steve Genyk was once involved in a different type of sales: selling the great outdoors. He owned a recreational vehicle company and a few campgrounds. Missing the energy of Chicago and needing a new challenge, Genyk sold his portion of the business. When a good friend and top Chicago agent suggested Genyk might enjoy real estate, he dove in and the rest is history.

As a senior broker for @properties, as well as his own Genyk Group Real Estate team, Genyk knows the value of being adaptable. He’s taken it upon himself to become an expert in multiple facets of the industry, representing developers selling new construction, overseeing luxury transactions, working with investors hoping to diversify their portfolios and assisting first-time buyers. “To be a part of something so intimate and be chosen to steward such an important experience in my clients’ lives is a massive compliment and very humbling,” he says. “It requires the utmost respect, effort and professionalism.”

In particular, Genyk has seen incredible growth in his luxury sales, both as a resale agent and as a new construction specialist. He’s been the driving force at Superior House in River North, helping developers attain all of their sales goals to date.

Genyk’s team implements every aspect of the most modern marketing techniques, including digital advertising, social platforms and slick video, as well as a high-tech CRM that helps to anticipate the moves of potential buyers and sellers. That said, he believes there’s no substitute for a tangible, face-to-face connection with either his dedicated existing clients or new prospects.

Genyk won the Rookie of the Year award from Property Consultants during his first year in the industry, and he has been a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer every year since. For the past seven years, Genyk has served on CAR’s Professional Standards Committee. He’s also a member of numerous Chicago neighborhood organizations.

As a single dad, Genyk has truly enjoyed raising his two children. “I am blessed to have such wonderful kids,” he says. “They are awesome: smart, fun, goofy and respectful.”
