Phil Byers, Realtor

Keller Williams Chicago - Lincoln Park

An industry leader and mentor, Phil Byers has turned his passion for people and learning into a fruitful career as a Realtor and coach. Concentrating on sales and purchases on the city’s North Side, his team specializes in selling single-family homes, condos, and two- to four-flats from Keller Williams’ Lincoln Park office. “My favorite clients are people I can relate to: professionals who live, work and raise their families on the North Side of Chicago,” says Byers. “I love helping people with their important life transitions.”

A former software developer for the healthcare industry, Byers earned his real estate license 16 years ago. “I felt that I could bring my expertise, professionalism and corporate experience together to be successful,” he says. Among the Chicago Association of Realtors’ top 1 percent of producers, Byers has an insatiable hunger for market knowledge and says his positive track record indicates his success in consistently bringing a high level of expertise to his clients. “If I’m doing my job right, I give my clients all the tools they need to make decisions. After they decide, my team executes it for them.”

Currently, Byers is listing a home in the Gold Coast that is recognized as a historical landmark, and his team is on track for a record-breaking year. “By introducing video and gaining greater exposure outside of Chicago through my speaking engagements with other Realtor boards and offices, I’ve dramatically increased our agent-to-agent referral business,” Byers explains. He says he hopes his role as a mentor contributes a greater sense of community and humanity to the industry, adding that any commission he makes from public appearances goes directly to a local animal shelter.

This year, he and his wife, Gina, purchased another investment property in western Michigan, presenting his clients with living proof of the ability to attain financial freedom through property investment.

Outside of work, Byers is obsessed with tennis (he calls it his “religion”), playing piano and guitar, and collecting vintage “Star Wars” toys. “In 2019, I’m focusing my free time on improving my piano playing more than anything,” he says.
