Brendan M. Murphy, Vice President of Sales

Dream Town Realty

A Chicago native, Brendan M. Murphy knows the ins and outs of the city’s best neighborhoods and shares his passion for his hometown with every client he meets. As a vice president of sales at The Hebson Team at Dream Town Realty, Murphy handles buyers, sellers, investors and renters in the West Loop, River North, River West, Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Lincoln Square, Roscoe Village and Northfield.

As a member of a real estate team that has been ranked among the top 1 percent of producers, Murphy is instrumental to the team’s ability to maintain its reputation as a leader in the industry. He contributed to the team’s 2018 closing total of $184 million, which enabled their year-end ranking of No. 1 in total team sales at Dream Town Realty and No. 3 in terms of total volume in Cook County.

Officially joining the real estate industry nearly five years ago, Murphy had an early introduction to the field. “My father has been developing homes for more than 30 years, and that really helped me out in the early stages of my career,” he says. “As a kid, maybe I asked a few too many questions on site visits, but it paid off big-time years later with new construction sales.”

Maintaining strict hours in order to remain available for his clients regardless of their work schedule, Murphy personally sees all transactions through from beginning to end. “I make sure I’m there to support our clients through this process from beginning to end,” he says.

With a heavy reliance on print, email and social media advertising, Murphy is relentless about expanding a listing’s presence until it’s sold. “There is no such thing as too much marketing,” he says, adding that through Dream Town Realty’s professional coaching, he’s gained actionable insights into how to improve all parts of his business.

Murphy supports Embrace Mental Health and loves playing golf, spending time with his family and friends, and supporting Chicago’s sports teams.
