Guiding her clients down the path toward financial independence, Bonnie Vasilion takes the mystery and anxiety out of mortgage lending. “I see myself as a professional service provider and strategist, and I believe a mortgage is simply one chapter in my client’s overall financial story,” explains Vasilion, a senior home lending advisor with Chase Private Client. “My clients are not looking for the lowest rate; they are looking for the best financial partners. They see lending as a way to not only get their family into the best home but also leverage their income, debts and assets to grow their net worth.”
Working with homebuyers and investors from all 50 states, Vasilion specializes in jumbo financing for primary residences, second homes, multi-unit buildings and investment properties. Primarily serving families on the North Shore, Vasilion maintains a referral-based business. Over the course of her 18 years in the industry, she has had the opportunity to work with the adult children of former clients. “Sometimes, when I come up with ideas on what might be my next chapter professionally, I put them aside because I can’t imagine someone looking for me and not being around to help them with their next mortgage,” she says.
A licensed architect and longtime real estate investor with a background in development and project management, Vasilion translates her organizational skills and strategic planning to the lending process. “My team and I work together to ensure that the end result of any lending transaction puts the client on solid financial ground,” she says. “As lenders, we learn a lot about our clients as part of the process, and we work hard to earn a client’s trust and confidence.”
Vasilion also offers educational opportunities for buyers, sellers and financial advisors. With workshops ranging from first-time buyers’ seminars to downsizing planning for seniors, Vasilion ensures that all attendees leave with a sense of control over their financial futures.
Inspired by her husband and their three kids, Vasilion has taken up yoga, become an avid biker and challenged herself to keep up with their interests, whether it be sketching, sailing or protecting the environment.
