Laura McGreal and Karen Schwartz, co-founders of the Laura McGreal & Karen Schwartz Group with Dream Town Realty, believe in the power of real life interactions and personalized service. “In today’s world of lock boxes, electronic signatures, texting and emailing, we feel it’s important to be present for showings and open houses, and to touch base with our clients by phone at least once a week to make sure that the process is running smoothly and nothing has been overlooked,” they say. “Proper communication, making your clients feel that they are always top of mind, in addition to having the right team in place to assist with this is critical in today’s market.”

Opening The Laura McGreal & Karen Schwartz Group in 2016 with just two additional brokers, McGreal and Schwartz have since grown their office, expanding their team to add four more dedicated professionals for a total of eight on their team, with hopes to continue to grow. “They are incredibly hard-working agents who really excel in this business,” they say, adding that the new hires have enabled them to not only be able to work harder and be able to service more clients, but to also strike a better work-life balance when needed.

Catering to buyers, sellers, investors, developers and rental clients in Chicago and its suburbs, McGreal and Schwartz specialize in new construction. Prior to forming their own brokerage in 2014, they worked for one of the nation’s largest developers for about 10 years each, training in construction, mortgage, sales, land acquisition and strategic marketing. In the past year, they worked hard to sell out almost all remaining units in The Illume, a 79 unit new construction development in the West Loop at 111 S. Peoria, for a pre-sale sellout in just 18 months. They were also hired to assist with the closeout of the Ronsley in River North, and this May, they just debuted its new PH model. For the past two years, McGreal and Schwartz have been named as top producers, and continue to expand their business each year.

Lauded for their dynamite work ethic and unwavering honesty, McGreal and Schwartz are known for their responsiveness and empathetic approach. “Sometimes hard decisions have to be made to ensure the right things are done for our clients,” they say.

Outside of work, McGreal and Schwartz volunteer with Hartland Alliance to help refugees settle into their new life in Chicago. For the past four years, they have also worked with Habitat for Humanity in the Women’s Build. “Each year we’ve had a team of friends and acquaintances who have helped support this cause,” they say. “It’s a truly rewarding experience!”
