For Kelly Parker, real estate isn’t just about buying and selling living space. “As a child, we moved between rentals every couple years. That constant moving revealed to me what it means to have my very own place to call home. Owning my own home forms the core of what makes me feel safe, secure and free to be the most authentic version of myself.” Parker’s mission as an @properties broker is personal. “My business is internal. It’s visceral — an earnest, hard-fought attempt to find and create a place where my clients feel at home.”

Working with a diverse client base including first-time homebuyers, luxury clients, developers and investors, Parker has extensive experience with condos, single-family homes and new construction markets within downtown, North and West Side Chicago neighborhoods. “I’m deeply grateful for the wonderful clients I’ve worked with in my nine-year career and their continued support,” she says, noting that this year, 100 percent of her clients were referrals or repeat customers. “It’s a testament to the level of trust and service I provide my clients.”

Every year since 2014, Parker has earned the Top Producer Award from the Chicago Association of Realtors. In 2017, Parker sold 50 percent of her listings at or above the asking price, often for more than their competition. “I developed my strategic approach to selling and buying real estate by fusing my education in sociology and background in luxury fashion merchandising with my expertise as a broker and certified negotiation expert,” she says. “I create a positive, memorable experience by identifying the most important financial, economic and emotional elements that impact homebuyers and sellers.”

As founder of Chicago Home Collective (CHC), Parker also plays the role of team mentor, guiding her agents to help them meet their full potential while providing their clients with personalized and complete attention. “We’re a team built on the guiding principles of trust, respect, and a collective, driven dedication to make sure our clients love where they live,” she says. “More importantly, and what truly sets CHC apart, is that we also want them to love how they get there.”

While Parker considers real estate to be her calling, she’s also dedicated to teaching her toddler daughter to respect the earth’s limited resources. “Our family shares one car. We have rain barrels, a backyard composting station, and we participate in beach and city clean-ups,” she says, adding that as a new mom she’s proud of how much she and her daughter have grown over the last year.
