Grace Goro Kaage, Broker

Grace Goro Kaage is no stranger to managing stressful situations and can handle them with great poise. A broker with @properties, she specializes in Chicago’s North Side, as well as those of select northwest, north and North Shore suburbs. Serving a referral-based client roster, Kaage assists buyers, sellers and investors.

After graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in journalism, Kaage worked in sports broadcasting before joining her father, the late Chuck Goro, in the real estate industry. “I had grown up around real estate my entire life,” she says, adding that the freedom and ability to be responsible for her own success appealed to her. With Chuck as her mentor, Kaage became an ace real estate professional, providing her clients with the utmost level of respect, warmth and, most importantly, service. “I’ve dropped off Comcast boxes, scheduled movers, ordered pizza for packing day, picked up mail and brought over cases of wine for clients who needed to vent or share a drink. Every client is different,” she says, “but they all have so much going on. I do whatever I can to help.”

In 2017, Kaage, along with her sister Gwen and longtime friend Julia Brenner Lindquist, moved from Coldwell Banker where they’d been for six years to @properties. “It’s motivating to work alongside such strong, supportive women. Their ambition is incredible,” says Kaage. Although she switched brokerages and mourned the loss of Chuck last year, she was able to power through and have her most successful year thus far —doubling her production. “To overcome the year we had and to come out this much stronger is something I’m really proud of,” she says. “I have no intention of slowing down.”

Kaage is the vice-chair of the Chicago Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network and serves on the Realtors Political Action Committee’s Work Group. This year, she received the honor of being named one of Crain’s Most Influential Residential Real Estate Agents, and was recognized as part of a 2017 Top Producer Team by the Chicago Association of Realtors.

As founders of the Prostate Cancer League, Kaage and her siblings are dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight prostate cancer. Last year, they raised over $33,000 at their annual fundraising event.
