After having a challenging experience when purchasing her own first home, Ashley Cox was inspired to change careers and become a Realtor.

“I wanted to help buyers and sellers,” says Cox, managing broker and Realtor at d’aprile properties, who also works with investors and corporate relocation clients in Chicagoland. “I just knew that I could make their experience smooth and stress-free if I started with client-specific education and remained focused on open, honest communication and trust.”

Turns out, she was right. Cox ranks in the top 3 percent in sales at d’aprile properties. She has been honored by the company since 2014 with multiple awards: Silver, Gold and Platinum Key awards. She is also a 2016 Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer, 2017 member of the Top Agent Network and a Five Star Professional every year since 2015.

“I love what I do and feel fortunate to have found myself in this crazy, exciting, sometimes stressful but always fulfilling world of real estate,” she says.

Before becoming a Realtor, Cox worked in real estate advertising at the Chicago Sun-Times. She then spent eight years working in higher education.

Each year, more than 85 percent of Cox’s clients are a mix of referrals and repeat business. “I feel very grateful that my clients trust me enough to refer their friends and family, and not only that, that they choose to work with me many times over,” she says.

A Certified Negotiation Expert, Cox is able to remain calm, patient and focused on serving her clients’ needs throughout the most challenging situations. “I’m there as a buffer for my clients, to help them manage stressful points in the buying or selling process, and to help them have as smooth and stress-free an experience as possible,” she says.

Outside of real estate, Cox is an active participant in her local community and charities. She personally supports Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.  In 2017, she assisted d’aprile properties in raising thousands of dollars for Misericordia. Currently, the team is working toward raising funds for Homes for Our Troops.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and playing soccer.
