Andrea Miller, managing broker, and Chris Pezza, vice president of operations, of Miller Chicago, LLC combine for nearly 30 years of commercial real estate expertise. Miller has won more than 15 Chicago Association of Realtors awards and CoStar Power Broker awards. Her real estate knowledge extends beyond sales and marketing, as she has an MBA from University of Chicago and worked on Wall Street in the financial sector.

Pezza is a board member and chair of the Public Policy Coordinating Committee as well as a CE instructor for the Chicago Association of Realtors. He received his master’s degree from Roosevelt University in May 2018, but started in real estate at age 19 underwriting manufactured housing communities and self-storage facilities for Prudential.

Their institutional backgrounds afford Miller and Pezza the ability to unwind the nuance in a wide range of asset classes and deal types. “Our clients come to us knowing they only need to speak to one brokerage firm for all of their real estate needs.” In 2017, Miller Chicago added to its robust roster by hiring experts in office leasing, industrial sales and South Side multi-family properties.

In 2018, Miller Chicago opened its second office to handle its growing suburban portfolio, including commercial leasing, property management, land sales, investment property sales and residential brokerage.“The suburban market has become very interesting to our clients and investors. We felt the time was right to leverage our growing portfolio to better service this trade area,” they say.

Miller and Pezza take pride in knowing they can always find ways to help their clients and improve neighborhoods. Miller Chicago was chosen as the property manager for the Elgin Tower, a 15-story art deco building erected in 1929. After condemnation, it was saved under historic preservation and converted to apartments. The project is currently up for numerous preservation and landmark awards. “It really is a great feeling to know you saved something so important to a town,” Pezza says. “This building was a beacon for the residents and a catalyst for the revitalization of downtown Elgin. Since its completion, the area is booming with life. This is why we are in the business.”

Miller and Pezza work on a wide range of properties, including commercial leasing and sales in various Chicago neighborhoods from Rogers Park to South Shore, and the leasing of a commercial redevelopment in the Loop at Clark & Madison. Miller Chicago was also recently brought on as the commercial leasing team for the Atrium at the James R. Thompson Center (State of Illinois Building).
