The North Shore Barrington Association of REALTORS® (NSBAR) dedicated its boardroom to the winner of its 2015 Distinguished Service Award, Marilyn D. Glazer.

Colleagues, friends and family were on hand for the dedication of the “Marilyn D. Glazer Boardroom and Conference Center” at NSBAR’S office in Northbrook.

Glazer is the owner of her own real estate brokerage company, Marilyn D. Glazer, Realtor. She is supervisor of Niles Township Government and is treasurer of the Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation. In addition, she is president of Glazer Enterprises, a company that specializes in real estate education and expert-witness testimony. She is a 30-year resident of Skokie.

She served as president of the North Shore Board of Realtors in 1985. Among her many awards are: 1986 Realtor of the Year, North Shore Board of Realtors; 1999 Realtor of the Year, Illinois Association of Realtors; 1997 Educator of the Year, National Association of Realtors, and 1998 Educator of the Year, Association of Illinois Real Estate Educators.

“An extremely well deserved award for an amazing woman,” said NSBAR’s President of the Board Keith Hancock. “It is long overdue, and we can’t thank Marilyn enough for all her contributions to our North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors and the real estate industry as a whole. Congratulations Marilyn, and our utmost appreciation for all you do.”

In response to the dedication, Glazer said, “This was a singular honor and very much appreciated. I sit on the shoulders of those who came before me and mentored me. This award is for them as well.”
A plaque and photograph of Glazer now grace the boardroom. Following the dedication, a champagne reception was held in Glazer’s honor at the Renaissance Hotel in Northbrook. In addition, Women’s Council of Realtors honored Glazer with a check for the Niles Township Food Pantry.

Delighted to learn of this well deserved award. Have attended many of Mariyn’s classes over the years and always learned even more than the class offered due to her broad experience and knowledge
