Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) is preparing for MREDPalooza, one of the largest MLS tech expos in the country, to come to the Chicagoland area on Tuesday, June 18. The event was created for MRED customers to learn about products and services available and how they will enhance their businesses. Product training sessions and seminars will be offered throughout the day at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont to give attendees a hands-on experience with the new products.

“We want consumers to be more aware of what MRED is, what is offered, what is out there they can use that will assist them in doing their job and make them more professional and more efficient,” MRED CEO Russ Bergeron said. “This is the place to do all of that.”

MRED expects many of its customers will “share in the success” by attending training demos conducted by Trulia. The MLS provides listings to 37,000 brokers and appraisers, and expects several thousand attendees and vendors to come to the tech expo.

“We know there are small trade shows some of the associations put together, but they usually only attract 100-300 people,” Bergeron said. “We figured to make it worthwhile to get the vendors here, you want to have some good attendants. We’ve got a pool of 37,000 people to draw from. If someone was going to throw a big event, we’d be the guys to do it.”

Besides an understanding of MRED and the products and services that are available to the real estate community, there is one special thing Bergeron would like attendees to walk away with: $10,000 in cash.

“We’re giving away prizes, as are most of the vendors, and we’re doing cash prizes,” he said.
