On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the City of Chicago is poised to announce proposed changes in the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO) which could dramatically impact multi-family residential development in Chicago. We fear these proposals could cause significant harm to our industry, killing new development, investment and jobs. Ironically, these changes could also hurt the very people the program is intended to help – families needing affordable housing.
Help the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) – City Chapter advocate against these changes and offer better alternative incentives for development of both market rate and affordable housing. Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Toto USA Showroom to learn how you can help protect your industry. There will be no charge for this event, but please bring your checkbook to make a contribution or pledge to the HBAGC ARO Fund. RSVP today at https://builderfusion.hbagc.com/bf/website/simple/eventView.jsp?event_id=5761
Food and refreshments are provided by Toto USA Chicago.
