On Thursday, October 13th, Century 21 Real Estate President and CEO Rick Davidson, and Sarah Susanka, writer of “The Not So Big House,” will be co-hosting a local discussion of the SchoolStreet Development located in Libertyville.
SchoolStreet consists of 26 bungalow-style homes that began construction roughly one year ago. Currently, 21 of the homes are under contract or reservation, and six of those are already completed and occupied. The development has been using the concept of “new urbanism” to attract down-sizers, single parents, first-time buyers, growing families and couples. Despite the unstable economy, SchoolStreet, with it’s environmentally-friendly construction, close proximity to downtown Libertyville, and semi-customizable homes, has managed to sell properties rather efficiently.
The event will be primarily Q and A, and will focus around topics such as how Century 21 came together with Susanka to introduce SchoolStreet to the market, Susanka’s show house, market conditions and homebuilding trends.
The discussion will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Libertyville Civic Center. For more information, contact Beth Ciampa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
