Jennifer Ames enjoys meeting people, and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. Ask her clients, and they’ll attest to the fact that she goes the proverbial extra mile. It’s no surprise that Ames’ husband of nine years was first a client. She volunteered to manage the renovation of the condo she sold him, and that sealed the deal. But her commitment to helping people goes beyond working with homeowners. Ames gives back to her profession by addressing Realtor audiences around the country, sharing what she has learned in her 17 years as one of the nation’s leading residential agents (don’t miss her at this year’s NAR convention in Anaheim, Calif.). A self-proclaimed ambassador of city living and multi-generation Chicagoan, she also serves on the board of directors of the Lincoln Park Zoo and the auxiliary board of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ames believes her career sales of nearly three quarters of a billion dollars and her prestigious ranking among the Wall Street Journal’s top 100 sales agents are evidence of her greatest professional achievement: consistency. “I have had a clear vision for my business from day one, and I try to move that vision forward every day in everything I do,” said Ames. She now strives to make changes within her business, creating more systems and processes to ensure that her sales can grow while continuing to offer her clients excellent customer service and spending quality time with her husband and three young boys.
