Relationships are everything in real estate, and nobody understands that better than Emily Johnson. As president of Taylor Johnson Public Relations, which works exclusively with clients in the real estate industry, Johnson has cultivated long-term relationships with some of the biggest names in the business while simultaneously helping new players get their foot in the door with the real estate media and buzzworthy influencers.

“For nearly four decades, Taylor Johnson has helped clients of all sizes — local and national, urban and suburban — promote their brands and make meaningful connections they can leverage to grow their respective businesses,” Johnson says. “Our diverse roster of clients includes newer companies like Kinzie Real Estate Group, as well as established companies like Lexington Homes, our very first client and a 37-year relationship.”

Taylor Johnson also represents some of the area’s most active apartment developers and operators, including M&R Development/ RMK Management, Fifield Companies, Related Midwest and Waterton Residential, all of which have benefitted from continued demand for rental units. Other clients include brokerage firms, residential and commercial developers, homebuilders, architects, construction companies and auction firms.

While Johnson has officially been with the company for 20 years, she’s been attending industry events since she was six, when she would tag along with her mother, Taylor Johnson founder Deborah Johnson. In addition, Emily has spearheaded development of the firm’s social media services while transforming “TJ TALK,” the company’s popular e-blast, from a resource for clients into a must-read resource for the real estate industry that now reaches a broad national audience.
