Carol Morgan, managing partner of mRELEVANCE, LLC, was named the 2016 Woman of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Professional Women in Building Council (PWB).

The Woman of the Year Award is the highest level of recognition presented by the NAHB and PWB, and honors members who demonstrate excellence and a commitment to making a difference in their community. The Woman of the Year Award was evaluated and judged by a committee composed of NAHB and PWB chairs, board members and past Woman of the Year recipients, among others.

“It’s such an amazing honor to be the Woman of the Year,” Morgan said. “As the highest level of recognition presented by the NAHB PWB, so many more doors will be open for me to help the organization advance its interests and needs. As for my own career, the award will help me and mRELEVANCE stand out from our competition.”

Morgan served as a PWB council chair in 2014, and has been involved with PWB at both the local and national levels. PWB members work in all aspects of the building industry, including remodeling, architecture, finance and more. Morgan is also the author of the BuilderBooks “Social Media 3.0,” and is the founder of AtlantaRealEstateForum.com.

“The homebuilding industry is a male-dominated world,” Morgan said. “The Woman of the Year and PWB show that women are influential to the industry and are powerful leaders.”

Under Morgan’s leadership, the Women in Residential Construction Survey – a study into the positions women hold in the home building industry – was facilitated, according to the NAHB.

“These awards encourage women to keep working to enhance the building industry for the better,” Morgan said.
