Chicago-based real estate firm Koenig & Strey Real Living has launched a Veterans to Realtors program, which will provide assistance and support to help interested and qualified veterans become real estate professionals.

The program will cover costs that average $4,000, which include “real estate school, State of Illinois licensing fees, MLS fees, National Association of Realtors dues, insurance, Continuing Education and other costs,” aspiring veterans need to become established in the business.

“The program will also provide training support through our renowned in-house Agent Development program, and coaching from an experienced manager and veteran to help guide new Realtors to success,” according to Koenig & Strey.

The brokerage touts the program as the “first of its kind in the Chicagoland market,” and Nancy Nagy, president and CEO of Koenig & Strey explained that a career in real estate would be a “great fit” for veterans re-entering the workforce.

“Because veterans are hardworking, highly disciplined and accustomed to overcoming obstacles, we believe a career in a real estate will be a great fit,” said Nagy. “In fact, already have many wonderful Realtors who are also veterans.”

She also added that this program is the “right thing to do” to give back to the country’s service men and women.

“Our men and women in service have given a great deal for our country, and it’s up to all of us to provide opportunities where they can be successful when they return,” said Nagy.

Interested veterans should contact Diane Glass, vice president of sales and development, at 847-853-6604, or email veterans@koenigstrey.com for more information.
