Michael Parent, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's broker manager, has been appointed MORe's president elect.

Michael Parent, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage broker/branch manager in St. Charles, has been appointed as president elect of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe), the fourth largest association of Realtors in the U.S. with more than 14,000 members in Illinois.

Parent has served on the Board of Directors for MORe for three years and will begin his role as president elect this fall through 2013. In the fall of 2013, Parent will become the organization’s president and serve for a one-year term. With his recent appointment, Parent will also serve on MORe’s executive board committee and in turn, give the organization’s members a voice at the state board level through his role with Illinois Association of Realtors.

“It’s time to raise the bar in the real estate industry,” Parent said. “In my new position, my goal is to help raise the level of professional standards for real estate brokers and in turn, deliver a valuable and memorable experience for individuals, families or home owners regardless of whether they are buying or selling.”

Parent has been in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, and he has been with Coldwell Banker for 15 years, serving as the broker manager of the St. Charles office for the past six years, where he oversees 73 brokers.

“I look forward to helping MORe grow through increased membership, as well as further enhance our relationships with affiliate organizations to establish a larger presence and voice at the national level with regards to important issues facing home owners today,” Parent said.

MORe represents over 200 cities and its members come from six counties including DuPage, Lake, Cook, Kane, Kendall and DeKalb.
