By the time she was in eighth grade, Kimberly Buss already knew she wanted to be a Realtor. “I moved around a lot growing up, so touring and living in many different houses sparked an early love of real estate,” Buss says. And while she took a 10-year detour in the world of corporate finance, Buss happily found her way back to her true passion. “I absolutely love my job. It’s helped me grow personally and professionally, connected me with people I otherwise never would have met, and opened up doors to lasting relationships,” Buss says. “I am incredibly blessed and extremely grateful that I found this career path.”
Buss‘ time in the corporate arena, which taught her how to prioritize tasks, handle client requests, collaborate with other team members and act professionally during stressful times, has helped her greatly in real estate. “The client always comes first, and you have to do whatever it takes to make them happy and get the job done,” Buss says.
Now five years into her real estate career, Buss reports that 85% of her business stems from referrals and her own extensive network. She’s won d’aprile properties’ Top Producer and Gold awards. “I look at these industry recognitions as my fulfilling own personal goals and accomplishments,” Buss says. “This year, I have my eyes set on the Platinum Award.”
Buss believes stellar customer service must go hand in hand with real estate expertise. “Understanding the market is crucial to getting homes sold,” Buss says. “But the biggest thing is knowing that people want to be heard and taken care of, and I believe my clients feel that genuine vibe from me.”
An enthusiastic fan of music, Buss can often be found enjoying the live local scene as well as large concerts. She enjoys traveling the world and has recently been to Spain and Thailand.
